Firstly, lets talk about the packaging. As always, Chanel offers a classy and sophisticated bottle for it's products. Perfection Lumière comes in a thick, frosted glass bottle with a black plastic lid with the Chanel logo on the top. This product comes with a pump which I LOVE and allows for control when dispersing the foundation which means less wasted product. (Hurrah!)
Coming in at £36 for this 30ml bottle it is stretching my budget, however the finish and coverage justifies me spending that little bit extra, plus, owning a little bit of Chanel is NEVER a bad thing.
The Chanel Perfection Lumière claims to be a lightweight matte foundation that has buildable coverage. I believe the foundation to be medium coverage, but is buildable when trying to hide those stubborn red areas and imperfections, however it does not look cakey or thick on the skin. The foundation is extremely lightweight and feels like a dream on the skin and applies flawlessly. The foundations is more of matte finish, but for my oily T-zone I still need to powder to ensure I don't look like a disco ball after application. The foundation does have a strong smell of what I would call 'peach soap', so if you have sensitive skin, or do not like foundations with a scent, then this may not be the foundation for you, however, I love the smell of this foundation and when applying it just adds to the amazing Chanel experience.

My final verdict? I love this foundation and would repurchase and wear everyday if it weren't for the price tag. It applies beautifully, leaves my skin matte, yet luminous. If you are looking for that perfect foundation and are willing to splurge on a higher end product then I would highly recommend the Chanel Perfection Lumière.
